Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two persons observed on video surveillance damaging a lock on a mailbox at a post office in the Puna district at approximately 1:26 a.m. Thursday.

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two persons observed on video surveillance damaging a lock on a mailbox at a post office in the Puna district at approximately 1:26 a.m. Thursday.

Police ask anyone with any information about this case to call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or contact Officer Michael Matsumura or Officer Brian Kohara at 965-2716.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
